Should You Build a Private Blog Network (PBN)?

Well, you have come across the word PBN, read about or heard about it, but you may not know what it means or what purpose it serves. Private Blog networks are also known as PBNs are a network of authoritative websites whose primary function is to help build links that will in turn direct authority to one specific site, commonly referred to as the money website. A money website is a website that generates income.

Additionally, the purpose of these PBNs is to help website owners cheat and manipulate the search engine rankings to favor their website. However, it is crucial to understand that these PBNs are in no way linked to one another. The idea behind it all is to ensure that all of these links and the money website seem unrelated. Note that PBNs are made from domains that no longer work, but have proper backlinks that are responsible for transferring links to your money site.

PBNs are useful in manipulating search engine ranks, which is why it is against googles ranking guidelines to use a private blog network. Your site will receive a hefty ranking penalty, once Google finds out that it is using a private blog network. If PBNs did not work then google will not be up in heels scaring people and removing rankings for websites that rely on PBNs. However, Google is putting in place smarter technology to make the use of PBNs harder.

Reasons why you should use a PBN

Despite it being against googles guideline to use private blog network, PBNs have proved to be effective. For instance, PBNs are essential when you want your website ranked in Google. As earlier stated, PBNs are responsible for manipulating search engine rankings. Additionally, PBNs can also make you money if you sell links. Also, when a website is ranked, it is likely to receive a lot of traffic, thus more money.

They are also other several advantages that accrue from using a private blog network. They include

Total Control

PBNs allow you to have complete control over SEO. For instance, you can decide what anchor text to use and so forth. Even when google imposes a penalty, all you have to do is remove certain links, and the penalty will be null and void.

Total Authority

It is almost impossible and challenging to acquire authority links from a trusted website in a natural way. This might take a long period, thus wasting a lot of time. On the other hand, opting to use PBNs saves a lot of time and allows you to use the authority of an older and trusted website.

There is no relationship building or outreach.

Usually, when you follow the right procedure of Google rankings, you are supposed to create a relationship with other established sites, which is time-consuming. However, this is not the case when you use a private blog network. Building a relationship is not necessary, and this saves a lot of time.

How to build a PBN Correctly?

Creating a private blog network is easy, however, it is costly and time-consuming. Here is how to build a PBN step by step.

The first step is to register a domain. First, when registering a domain name you can use fake information (which I don’t recommend) or you can use private registration. Secondly set up your hosting so that you can have several C class IP addresses. You can set up on different hosting companies. Thirdly ensure that your site has a different look. Most people use WordPress, but you can do better. To stay on the safe side, you can use various content management tools such as Joomla, Drupal or others.

Here are factors to consider when building a PBN

  • Ensure that you buy domains that are expired but have a good link profile
  • Ensure that you host your website on different hosting companies
  • Have a legit site with a good layout, design, and logo
  • Publish content that is of high content
  • Ensure that you update your website from time to time to avoid it looking like a PBN

Whether you should a private blog network is up to you. Weigh the risks that are involved and then decide whether you are going to use PBNs. For instance, if you are hooked to the 90: 10 rule of linking, then you will have no other choice but to spend a lot of time acquiring real authoritative links. On the other hand, sit down and weigh the benefits that you will enjoy from using a private blog network.
